In Stitches Embroidery is proud to serve you as our customer and client. We strive to produce high quality embroidery, screen printing, sublimation printing, promotional products, and more to get you noticed.  Our policy is to serve you personally and professional with the highest of standards.  This policy is subject to change without notification.

 

Embroidery Set-Up Fees:

Before we embroider your logo, a process called digitizing must take place. Digitizing is the process of converting customer provided artwork (business card, sketch, graphic art, etc.) into a format that will work with our embroidery equipment. Digitizing fees are based on stitch count and the complexity of your design. A typical left chest logo can cost $15 to $30. Digitizing is a one-time process. However, only minor modifications can be made to a
digitized file. Major modifications (including significant changes in size) may require a logo to be re-digitized.

Embroidery Prices:

Please note that embroidery prices are dependent on both the quantity of items ordered, and the number of stitches in your logo. Most standard left chest logos are around 8,000 stitches. Please contact us for an estimate.

Screen Printing Artwork:

Before your design is screen-printed, a graphic artist must create your artwork in vector format. Most orders include one design at no charge with minor modifications. Major changes to a design after artwork has been started will require artwork charges. Artwork is charged at $30 per hour. Generally, artwork is not started until a complete order is placed including sizes, color, and number of apparel items to be screen-printed. If a customer requests artwork prior to placing an order, an artwork deposit will be required. You can avoid charges for artwork by providing vector artwork in .ai (Adobe Illustrator) or .eps format.

Screen Set-Up Fee:

There is a $30 screen set-up fee per color (the screen set-up fee for a two-color front logo and a one-color back logo is $90.00)

Screen-Print Prices:

Prices are dependent on both the quantity of items ordered, and the total number of screen-printed colors (a shirt with a two-color front logo and a one-color back logo has 3 total colors). Please contact us for an estimate.

Sublimation Artwork Set-Up Fee:

Before your design can be sublimated, a graphic artist must create your artwork in vector format( generally start from a jpg or png format). Most orders include one design at no charge with minor modifications.  Photo image should be at least 300 dpi or greater to ensure high quality. Major changes to a design after artwork has been started will require artwork charges. Artwork is charged at $30 per hour. Generally, artwork is not started until a complete order is placed including sizes, color, and number of apparel items to be screen-printed. If a customer requests artwork prior to placing an order, an artwork deposit will be required.  You can avoid charges for artwork by providing quality vector artwork in .ai(Adobe Illustrator), .eps, .png, or .jpg format.

Sublimation Pricing:

Before we embroider your logo, a process called digitizing must take place. Digitizing is the process of converting customer provided artwork (business card, sketch, Sublimation imaging costs vary depending on the image colors, image size, resolution, and quantity of items ordered. Please contact us for an estimate.

Promotional Artwork Set-Up Fee:

Before your logo is printed onto promotional products, a graphic artist must create your artwork in “vector” format. This service generally costs $20 - $50, depending on the complexity of the design. The artwork setup fee is a flat rate, regardless of the quantity of items ordered. You can avoid charges for artwork by providing vector artwork in .ai(Adobe Illustrator) or .eps format.

Ownership of Artwork and Digitized Files:

While you own the right to control the use of your logo, In Stitches Embroidery retains ownership of all electronic files used to create your logo. We do not release these files to customers under any circumstances. We will release copies of finished designs in .JPEG, .PDF, or printed format.

Order Turnaround:

Embroidery, screen printing and sublimation turnaround is typically 10 business days depending on quantity and design size.  For example, some back of shirt or coat embroidered designs can take over an hour to sew out.  The typical turnaround time for a promotional product order is approximately 4 weeks from artwork approval. Always be sure to inform your sales representative if there are important dates related to your order.  Rush order may occur an additional charge.  Rush order dates and any additional pricing will be established in writing by In Stitches Embroidery and Client after artwork final approval and prior to production.

Shipping:

Orders can be packaged and shipped in multiple ways.  Please let us know if you have any special needs.  Additional charges may apply.  UPS and FedEx shipment, tracking numbers can be sent upon request.

Release Forms:

Signature of the production approval and release forms indicates approval of all design and production specification.  Client takes all responsibility of reviewing all aspects of design and layout prior to signing.  In Stitches and Embroidery will not be held responsible for oversights on spelling, syntax or layout of content.  Once production has begun, all changes will be done at the client's expense.  For artwork that is submitted for approval to the customer via e-mail, be advised that color on your monitor may vary from the actual print color.  Therefore hard proofs are available upon request for a nominal fee.  In Stitches and Embroidery adheres to strict level of quality control and customer satisfaction and will ensure the job produced the provided specifications.  Any expectations outside of the provided design should be made clear before signing the release.  Approvals may be accepted via fax or email response.  By stating in an email your approval will suffice for an actual signature.

 

 

TERMINOLOGY

 

CLIENT OWNED ITEMS: Items not purchased by In Stitches Embroidery, but were brought to In Stitches Embroider for embroidery or screen printing by the client. Due to factors that are not in our control such as type of material, previously washed, fabric softened, previously worn, etc can significantly effect how the item is embroidered out or screen printed. In Stitches Embroidery will embroider or screen print on client owned items with a signed release form.

 

EMBROIDERY TERMINOLOGY

 

DIGITIZING: The process of taking artwork from any source, including your original drawings, and turning it into a language that a computerized embroidery machine can translate into stitches. A modern term for punching, it is a method of programming a design. Artwork is converted into a series of commands to be read by an embroidery machine's computer.

 

STABILIZER:Woven and non-woven material used underneath the item or fabric being embroidered to provide support and stability. Can be hooped with the item, or placed between the machine throat plate and the hooped garment. Available in various weights and in two basic types: cutaway and tearaway.

 

STITCH COUNT: The number of thread stitches it take to produce and emboidery.

 

THREAD:Fine cord of natural or synthetic material made from two or more filaments twisted together and used in stitching. Machine embroidery threads come in rayon, which has a light sheen; cotton, which has a duller sheen than rayon, but is available in very fine deniers; polyester, which is strong and colorfast; and metallics, which have a high luster and are composed of a synthetic core wrapped in metal foil.

 

HEADWEAR TERMINOLOGY

 

STRUCTURED: Caps with fabric backing behind the front of the crown, supporting the front panels of the cap.


UNSTRUCTURED: Caps with no backing behind the front of the crown. These caps are soft, and offer the lowest possible profile and maximum flexibility.

 

PROFILE: The look of the cap from a side view. A low profile cap will have the lowest distance from the base to the top of the crown. A mid/pro profile cap is the style commonly worn by baseball players. A high profile cap has the greatest distance from the base to the top of the crown. This style is commonly called a “trucker” cap.
